Hmmm...10 years as a tag and title clerk may have finally paid off...I believe it was NY. For the US, Paris was the first place over all...I think it was Paris.
I would have to say New York...I used to collect liscense plates, when I was a kid, until dad threw them all away. As a kid it was the only collection I had a pasion for and he threw them away. I was reminded of this collection a few years back, when in California I was in a store selling some of the plates I had in the collection for $10 each or a little better. Thanks dad!
I believe riquel is right the First in the world was France.
I also think Riquel is correct (again)! Paris, France.
In the US, New York it wasn't until about 1901. Think they used the owners names for the plate, rather than numbers???? There were licenses of types issued back in the days of wagons, before 1901, but the "vehicles" were not motorized.
I have 2 children a 12 year old girl and an 11 year old boy. Wow that is an old picture. I have two cats. Two girls. I would love to have more but can not right now. In the future I will.
My newest website is dannieb123.wordpress.com Please feel free to check it out. I just started back up again after my tragedies.
